CulturaWeek is Cultura Foundation's annual event, combining a programme of topical discussions and research with cultural activities. The programme includes a conference focusing on a theme closely connected to the Foundation's work, alongside several cultural events aimed at Russian‑speaking audiences, with the goal of supporting social participation and inclusion.

How can we find sufficient common ground at a time when people get their information from different sources, in different languages and through the lens of different experiences?

As perceptions of reality diverge, trust, a sense of belonging to society and our ability to engage in meaningful dialogue are all put to the test.

Cultura Foundation’s 2026 conference explores how trust and shared understanding are built in an increasingly multilingual and diverse Finland. And what similar questions are emerging in other European countries?

The conference will begin with Finnish research findings, which will then be placed in a broader European context. We will then take a closer look at young people’s relationship with society before concluding with a collective reflection on the topic.

Cultura Foundation’s follow‑up study, Russian Speakers in Finland 2026, will be published at the conference providing new insights into Russian-speaking residents’ trust in society, sense of belonging to Finnish society, media use and views on societal issues.

This year’s findings will also be examined in relation to the 2022 and 2024 studies.

The CulturaWeek cultural programme is a series of events for Russian‑speaking audiences in Finland.

Throughout the week, we organize events, meetings, and dialogues that promote opportunities to participate in cultural and social life.

We organize most events in collaboration with cultural institutions and organizations.

The programme will be published at a later date.

Cultura Foundation is an expert organization whose mission is to promote the integration and inclusion of Russian‑speaking residents in Finland.

The Russian‑speaking residents refers to people living in Finland who use Russian as their language of communication. Their backgrounds can be diverse, differing culturally, historically, and geographically.

Integration is a two‑way process involving not only the individual but also society. In cooperation with municipalities, state organizations, and other partners, we develop services and activities to make it easier for immigrants to become part of Finnish society.

Cultura Foundation also promotes integration through direct communication with Finland's Russian‑speaking population, for example through events and information sharing.

Cultura Foundation carries out a specific mandate assigned to it by the Ministry of Education and Culture and is funded by the ministry.
